Creation of a Synthetic Rural Alaskan Microgrid Model

Publicly accessible License

Describes the development of a synthetic benchmark power-system model representing a rural Alaskan island microgrid while avoiding disclosure of confidential critical-infrastructure data. Summarizes the methodology used to create the synthetic grid and evaluates performance through steady-state and positive-sequence dynamic simulations under multiple operating conditions. The resulting model is intended as a publicly available test case for microgrid planning, operations studies, and evaluation of emerging technologies in high-renewable systems.
