Solar Supply Curves
Like the wind supply curves, NREL's solar supply curve dataset integrates high resolution solar resource data, land-use constraints, and cost assumptions to estimate the potential capacity and levelized cost of solar photovoltaic development across the United States. The interactive map and downloadable shapefiles show how increasing costs open additional resource classes, enabling analysts to determine economically attractive solar deployments under different assumptions. The tool supports planning studies, policy analysis, and resource comparisons by quantifying where solar power can be developed and at what cost.
