Community-Centric Microgrid Feasibility Analysis Framework to Accelerate Resilience of Island Communities

Publicly accessible License

Provides a community-centric microgrid feasibility framework for coastal and island communities, starting with community engagement and translating community priorities into technology scenarios. Demonstrates the approach in St. George (Pribilof Islands, Alaska), evaluating diesel-reduction pathways that include marine/wave options and using optimization and power-system analysis tools to screen configurations. Includes a Marine Energy Microgrid Toolkit intended to help other communities structure feasibility analyses and compare technology pathways.
