Wind Economic Analysis Project: An Alaska Case Study for Integration of High-Penetration Wind Energy in a Western Alaska Community

Publicly accessible License

A collaborative case study between the Alaska Center for Energy and Power at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, and Analysis North to determine the economic feasibility of installing a large 1MW wind turbine in a small Western Alaska Community with high wind penetration. The study looks into how to utilize the excess wind generated by the large turbine through the electrification of various systems within the community.
